Its mission is to establish an innovation environment that enables the development of breakthrough solutions for future challenges, as well as the promotion of cooperation between stakeholders and contributes to the digital and green transformation of society.CRIP acts as a central organizational unit for the coordination of strategic development-innovation partnerships (SRIP) and the management of other development projects, thereby supporting the exchange of knowledge and technologies in the form of new products, services and systems from the Slovenian research environment to practice and vice versa.
As part of its activity, CRIP coordinates SRIP Factories of the Future (SRIP ToP) and SRIP Smart Cities and Communities (SRIP PMiS).SRIP ToP covers the field of smart factories according to the Industry 4.0/5.0 paradigm. It is characterized by being the carrier of key enabling technologies in the fields of robotics, guidance technology, photonics, plasma technologies and modern manufacturing methods for materials and nano and quantum technologies. SRIP PMiS focuses on improving the quality of urban living ecosystem, energy efficiency, health, safety, mobility and energy and other supply in urban and rural environments.
In addition to the coordination of SRIP ToP and SRIP PMiS, CRIP is also in charge of placing IJS in SRIP GoDigital (the area of ICT technologies) and for managing activities in cooperation with EIT Proizvodnja (Manufacturing), where IJS acts as a core partner.
By combining knowledge and vision, CRIP builds the foundations for long-term technological and social progress.
